Aayush Sharma has often spoken about the highs and lows of his journey in the film industry. In a recent podcast conversation, the actor opened up about his early days, his relationship with Salman Khan, and how the superstar supported him from the very beginning. However, parts of his statements were later misinterpreted online, prompting Aayush to issue a clarification.

Aayush Sharma REACTS To Misquoted Remarks On Salman Khan

Speaking to Cyrus Broacha, Aayush Sharma recalled his first meeting with Salman and how it left a lasting impact on him. “He looked at me and said, ‘You can become an actor.’ That was the most beautiful moment of my life till then. No casting director had ever said that to me. No one believed in me – and here was one of the biggest stars in the country saying it after meeting me just once,” he shared.

At the same time, Salman Khan’s encouragement came with honesty. Aayush revealed, “He told me, ‘You’re in a bad state. You look like sh*t, you’re not trained enough. Just going to acting school won’t help; you need to work on multiple things.’” The feedback, though blunt, helped shape his approach towards acting.

Aayush Sharma On Took To His Instagram Stories

Soon after the podcast clip went viral, Aayush took to Instagram stories to clear the air around the way his comments were being presented. He wrote, “Bhai log, maine aisa kuch nahi bola hai… aaram se podcast dekh lo, comedy hai. Clickbait ke liye itna bhi creative hone ki koi zaroorat nahi hai. Mera sahi hai, bina kuch bole hi tamasha ho gaya.”

Aayush Sharma eventually made his Bollywood debut with Loveyatri (2018), backed by Salman Khan Films. He was last seen in Ruslaan (2024). He married Arpita in November 2014 at Hyderabad’s Falaknuma Palace, and the couple now has two children, Ahil and Ayat.

Aayush also spoke about introducing his now-wife, Arpita Khan, to his family and their unexpected reactions. “My mom asked if she was Salman’s sister. I told my dad she was my girlfriend. He said, ‘Uski behen tere saath kya kar rahi hai?’ and then I told him we are getting married. He was shocked,” he recalled.

However, even this anecdote sparked confusion online, leading Aayush Sharma to clarify again. “Yeh lo ek aur portal jo imagination pe chal raha hai. Aap bhi podcast dekho,” he added. Despite the noise around his recent statements, Aayush’s anecdotes offer a glimpse into his personal and professional journey, shaped by honesty, family dynamics, and the support of those close to him.
