Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s son Pax was seen rubbing elbows with stars at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival in a rare public outing.

Pax, 22, was photographed with director Garrett Patten and producer Fernando Ferro while attending a screening of the movie Self Custody, starring Adrian Grenier. Pax dressed casually for the event in Park City, Utah, wearing a red-and-blue plaid top over a black T-shirt.

Pax was adopted by Jolie, 50, and Pitt, 62, in 2007. The former couple were married from 2014 to 2019 and share six children: Maddox, 24, Pax, Zahara, 21, Shiloh, 19, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 17.

Growing up in the public eye, Pax and his siblings have made several red carpet appearances with their famous parents over the years. Jolie theorized in 2024, however, that her children wouldn’t be following in her and Pitt’s acting footsteps.

“I think they’re especially shy, very private people, and they want to be private,” she told E! News while celebrating the premiere of her film Maria.

While Jolie’s kids may not be stepping in front of the camera any time soon, they’re proud to cheer her on behind the scenes.

“It’s meant everything,” she told Extra in 2024, reflecting on the support she received from her kids when Maria was in production. “Before you get out in these things, you’re as nervous. They just said, ‘No matter what, Mom, good luck and we know how hard you work and we love you.’ You know, you just have that moment where the people who are with you tell you, succeed or fail, they care about you.”

Jolie also revealed that her sons were with her on set. “They were in the AD department, the photography department,” she recalled. “It was kind of an amazing thing to have, you know … They saw me learn how to sing, they saw me practice, they saw me nervous. They were there the first time I had to do it and I was terrified, and they were there when I broke down crying. So, it was an interesting time for us to kind of get closer in a different way.”

She added, “Many of us who have children know you don’t often cry in front of your children, or you don’t express certain things in front of your children, so to do that and then tell them it’s OK and be there for each other was very special.”

Angelina Jolie’s Most Inspiring Motherhood Quotes

Following years of back and forth with Pitt while hammering out their divorce, Jolie is embracing every moment with her kids.

“She may be a huge movie star, filmmaker and humanitarian, but her ultimate and most rewarding role remains being a mom,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly last year. “She loves having them all under one roof again.”

According to the insider, Jolie is “very content” focusing on her family, because “the kids are growing up so fast” and “she knows these times won’t last forever.”

Despite being the “epitome of a superstar,” Jolie is “super chill” when it comes to parenting. “At home she’s a regular mom, juggling her career and a house full of kids and dogs who run wild and have free rein of the house,” the source told Us.

As for Pitt, a separate insider told Us in June 2025 that the actor is “in a good place,” adding, “Brad has always had a good balance between being in the spotlight and having a private life.”
