Pandit stated, “If what Shilpa Shinde said in the podcast is true, it deserves strong condemnation.”
He added that even in cases where producers remain silent to protect their crew and keep the show running, it does not justify false accusations. He explained that false allegations can severely damage a person’s reputation, career, and mental health, while also making it more difficult for genuine victims to be believed.
“Every false accusation weakens trust in those who come forward with real experiences,” Pandit said, stressing that deliberately seeking to ruin someone’s life and reputation is “completely unacceptable.” FWICE, the federation representing workers, technicians, and craft unions in India’s film and TV industry, has been at the centre of ongoing discussions about accountability and ethics.
