Hollywood has mourned the deaths of some of its most legendary stars in 2025.

The first half of the year saw the tragic news of the deaths of David Lynch, Michelle Trachtenberg, George Foreman, Val Kilmer and Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertston.

Over the summer, we lost Anne Burrell, Ozzy Osbourne, Hulk Hogan, Malcolm-Jamal Warner and Brandon Blackstock. September brought the death of actor Robert Redford.

In October famed zoologist Jane Goodall, Diane Keaton, Grammy-winning R&B singer D’Angelo, and more passed away. The following month, Dallas Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland died at age 24 and Oscar-nominated actress Pauline Collins died at age 85 after a battle with Parkinson’s.

November began with the deaths of actress Sally Kirkland and former ABC News correspondent Jim Avila, with musician Gary “Mani” Mounfield and Prince collaborator Jellybean Johnson also dying. In late November, German actor Udo Kier, musician Jimmy Cliff and and playwright Tom Stoppard also died.
