Juhi Parmar, one of television’s most loved actresses, is making a strong comeback and has been reflecting on her journey in the industry. Known for her unforgettable role in Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, Juhi recently spoke about the nostalgia she felt seeing Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi return to televison.

Juhi Parmar On Smriti Irani’s Comeback With Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 2

Watching Smriti Irani as Tulsi again brought back fond memories of the golden era of Indian television, when daily soaps ruled hearts and households. Speaking about it to Bollywood Bubble, Juhi said, “I have not seen the episodes of Kyuki, but I have seen some clips on social media, and yes, it is very nostalgic, either the title song or looking at Smriti ma’am in that Tulsi getup. Us show ne television ka rukh hi badal diya tha, so it was very nice, heartwarming, and I was very happy to see it.”

Furthermore, speaking about her comeback, she said, “I was never gone, I often take breaks from one show to another because I feel if a project doesn’t touch my heart, I won’t say yes to it.”

Juhi recalled how the dedication of actors and makers shaped that era, even if it meant working extremely long hours. She revealed that back in the 2000s, she sometimes worked non-stop for almost 30 hours at a stretch, which demanded immense commitment and passion. “I’m talking about 20 years back, when new shows started, even the people who were creating them were unaware about how to keep up with the next day’s telecast. There are times when I have shot 30 hours also aane ka samay hota tha, but jane ka samay hi nahi hota tha. That time I did it, and after a point I realised that it’s affecting my health. The makers were understanding enough to understand ki jitna humanly possible hai utne hi ghanta kaam karvaye. Now with me, it has not happened with me; the work has streamlined, and I feel there are not too many long working hours, as far as I have experience. I don’t work for so long hours, and nobody has forced me,” she concluded.

Despite the challenges, Juhi believes those experiences built her strength as an artist. Her comeback not only excites fans but also reminds them of the magic of classic Indian television.
