While narrating the story, Raj described how Lakshman asked Rama if they could eat fruits from a forest ahead. Rama reportedly replied that it belonged to someone else but allowed it due to their hunger. Raj then continued the narration, explaining how Shurpanakha and Ravana confronted them. According to the retelling, Ravana allowed them to eat, acknowledging their hunger, and later asked them to compensate or plant seeds in return.

Following the controversy, social media reactions intensified. Some users demanded Raj’s removal from upcoming projects, including his reported role as Lord Shiva in Varanasi. Others called for boycotts of his work, further amplifying the debate.
