With just days left until Ranveer Singh-led Dhurandhar releases in theatres globally, the hype for the espionage thriller is at an all time high. After hyping the audience with a power-packed trailer and impactful songs, we’ve now learnt that viewers will be in for a treat when they watch it in cinemas from Friday. Why? Well, the film is over 3-hours long.

A report has just surfaced with details about the film’s run time, it’s CBFC certification and the changes made to the final cut. Scroll below to read all the details.

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar Receives ‘A’ Rated Certification

As per a recent Bollywood Hungama report, Dhurandhar’s runtime is expected to be over 3 hours and 30 minutes. As per the report, the censor certificate has confirmed the film’s run time as 214.01 minutes, aka 3 hours, 34 minutes and 1 second. This lengthy run time makes it longest Bollywood film 17 years. The last film with such a long run time was Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan-led period drama Jodhaa Akbar. The historical drama also has a run time of 214 minutes.

Aside from the run time, the portal also revealed that has received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Interestingly, this is Ranveer Singh’s first adult-rated film in 15 years.

Dhurandhar Cuts

Talking about the changes and cuts made to the Aditya Dhar directorial, the CBFC has asked the makers to add the voiceover for the Hindi disclaimer. In fact, the report states that the disclaimer’s duration was increased to accommodate the voiceover. Also, the anti-drug and anti-smoking static were added in scenes where characters are seen consuming the unhealthy substances.

Talking about the violence in the film, visuals at the start have been deleted and replaced with appropriate shots. In the second half too the makers have been told dial down on the violent visuals. The character name of a minister was ‘suitably changed’. Lastly, a cuss word was muted.

One more change that the makers made was that of adding music and additional scenes to the end credits. Once these changes were made and submitted, the censor certificate was handed over to the makers on December 2.
